The information contained in this database is organized in "views" and when searching the database for information only the current view is searched. For example, if you're in the RSLinx view and you perform a search, your search results will only include RSLinx documents. To search all information in this database, choose Entire Knowbase. By default, search results are sorted by relevance - the closest matches will be at the top of the list.

Valid keywords and their function when searching:
and - both keywords
or - either (or both) keywords
near - both keywords, sorted by documents with keywords closest together
paragraph - both keywords must appear in the same paragraph
sentence - both keywords must appear in the same sentence

By default, word variations are enabled when searching, meaning that if you enter print as a keyword, documents with prints, printing and printed will be returned in the search result. This is helpful for finding documents that contain a variation of the keyword that you're looking for.

To locate information for a specific product, you may search one of two ways.
Method One: Search the entire listing

1. Click the Entire Knowbase link in the navigation bar to display the listing of all products. The main window will refresh to display the listing of all products for which information is available.
2. In the main window, click the product for which you need information. The list of available information for that product will expand below it.
3. Select the information you would like to view by clicking it.

Method Two: Search according to product family
1. In the navigation bar, click the plus sign for the appropriate product family. The navigation bar will refresh to display a list of products under that family for which information is available.
2. Select the desired product by clicking it in the navigation bar. The main window will refresh to list the information available for that product.
3. Select the desired information by clicking it in the main window.

In order to get back to the Rockwell Software homepage, click the Rockwell Software logo at the upper left portion of the navigation bar. To return to this introduction page click on the "select a product" button directly below the Rockwell Software logo.
